Microsoft has started its launch of Office 2013 and refreshing Office 365. As an Microsoft Office user these questions popped up in mind, what's new, can I upgrade or do I have to buy new license, should I go for Office 2013 or much hyped Office 365.
What's New
Nothing much is the simplest answer. New version has minor fixes, tweaks and features; like touch screen compatibility, cloud integration and and and.... (Holly shomolly I forgot). But have great great limitation, new Microsoft Office editions are only available for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Mac OS X machines.
Ah, with Office 365 you can directly subscribe over internet and no need for DVD's, License Keys; just log-on to your Microsoft and everythings done.

Micorosot Office 2013 Home & Student Edition costs $139.99 (Perpetual / One Time License fee), is bundle of core applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and add to that 7GB of cloud storage on SkyDrive. A single license allows only one PC installation.
Office 365 Home Premium edition costs $99.99 per year, includes all the core appliactions and also includes Outlook, Access, publisher and 7GB of cloud storage on SkyDrive. It can be installed on upto 5 PC's or Tablets. Advantages with Office 365 are that one can stream the full version on any Windows PC on demand. And additional storage space of 20GB on sky drive. 60 Free minutes of Skype world calling per month.
Final Verdict
Deciding between the two office edition seems easy, with installation on 5 devices, complete office package and loads of goodies Office 365 definetly would be a preferred choice. If you use office programs less often and not going to upgrade frequently than Office 2013 looks like a good choice.
Some Advice, if you are dead against Office 365
Office 365 would be launched on February 27th, Microsot has offered a trail period of 30 days. Its worth checking out and if you decide you don't like it or not as useful to you, you can cancel it within 30 days and you don't have to pay single penny.
But one thing is for sure, with Office 365, Microsoft is looking for a constant revenue stream that would boost it financial figures!!!!
