Microsoft Surface Pro 64GB: has a monstrous belly!!

Microsoft’s Surface Pro tablets would hit the shelves on February 9, with Windows 8 is priced at $899 for 64GB and S999 for 128GB. The features of Surface is impressive has a multi-touch 10.6-inch screen with 1920x1080 resolution, Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, USB 3.0, an integrated Intel GPU.

Surface has a major problem; the pre-installed data is about 40GB, The pre-installed data contains Windows 8, in-built apps and recovery drive. That means out Surface 64GB version has onboard storage of 64GB, just 24GB is available for users, which is only 37% of the advertised capacity. Similarly, 128GB version will have 88GB of available space, which 69% of the advertised capacity.
Microsoft has said the users can use USB 3.0 hard drives as well as MicroSDXC cards for storage expansion. According to The Verge , users can re-configure these devices by creating back-up bootable USB’s and deleting the recovery partition.
Microsoft hasn’t learned from the mistakes it did it in Surface RT, and its success was Limited. The problem has just increased manifold with Apple releasing the 128GB tablet at a price of $799 which is $100 lesser than the Microsoft Surface.
Will the Surface Pro be success? Only time will tell!
